With the recent release of online multiplayer with the Steam edition, I created this guide for old players and newcomers alike. Posted: 29 MarchStronghold is an excellent castle management simulator, and though the missions can be frustrating (having to find and kill rats.ugh) ultimately the level of detail in the game is quite enjoyable enough to keep ya playing.

From the great animations of people in buildings (especially the king's kitchen) to the chain-supply strategy required for everything (even weapons for soldiers), it's a great game to play if you want to have more realistic resource management in your RTS. Oh, and this is better than the first version because a) graphics, b) this one has ships (!), and c) more variety of things to do.
